Additional Costs: Daily budget varies by travel style. Hotels about $40–$120/night, meals $5–$20/day, attractions $10–$25. Trips are open & spontaneous — you decide what you want to experience. Lazy hotel days are welcome, especially for solo women travelers or couples who want private relaxation.

Important Note

You can always choose your own hotel freely. In most hotels across Java and Indonesia, it is usually not a problem if you invite a guest or companion to your room. Double rooms are charged per room, not per guest — so the price remains the same whether one or two people stay.

Be careful when booking through tour operators: sometimes hotel confirmations explicitly state “room for one person only” and later charge a very high surcharge for a companion. To avoid unpleasant surprises, please confirm the room type in advance.
